Core requirements
Discharge of high-temperature flue gas from metallurgical blast furnaces, prevention and control of flammable and explosive gases in petrochemical workshops, treatment of corrosive acid and alkali gases, and respiratory safety for workers.
Dedicated technical adaptation
• High-Temperature Flue Gas and Dust Control The top of the metallurgical blast furnace is equipped with a high-temperature-resistant, variable-frequency smoke exhaust fan. This fan is combined with a gravity dust removal system and a baghouse dust collection system. The fan speed is dynamically adjusted according to the volume of flue gas from the blast furnace, ensuring that the concentration of dust emissions remains below 10 mg/m³. In the converter workshop, a combined ventilation system consisting of “side-suction hoods + top-suction hoods” is employed to capture the high-temperature flue gases and metal dust generated during steelmaking, thereby preventing their dispersion into the work area.
• Handling of Flammable, Explosive, and Corrosive Gases The petrochemical storage tank area is equipped with combustible gas sensors arranged by zone. When the gas concentration exceeds the standard, an explosion-proof exhaust fan will automatically start, while ventilation and make-up air supply in the area will be simultaneously shut down to prevent the formation of explosive mixtures. In the acid and alkali storage tank area, the ventilation system is fitted with corrosion-resistant fans and an acid-alkali neutralization tower. The discharged gases are neutralized before being released into the atmosphere to meet emission standards. Both the fans and pipelines are made of PP material to avoid corrosion and damage.
• Fresh Air Supply for the Work Area Local ventilation devices are installed in the workshop according to work stations, ensuring that the air velocity in the breathing zones of workers is ≥0.5 m/s and that the concentration of harmful gases remains below the occupational exposure limits. The fresh-air system employs a “centralized filtration + zone-specific distribution” approach, with preheating in winter and precooling in summer, thereby enhancing operational comfort.
