FB4-72 Specialized Ventilator for Chemical Industry


The casing, impeller, and air inlet of the FB4-72 centrifugal fan are all made of fiberglass reinforced plastic, making it suitable for conveying highly corrosive industrial gases in sectors such as petroleum, chemical industry, nonferrous metallurgy, electroplating, wastewater treatment, brewing, and the electronics industry.

Use

The casing, impeller, and air inlet of the FB4-72 centrifugal fan are all made of fiberglass reinforced plastic, making it suitable for conveying highly corrosive industrial gases in sectors such as petroleum, chemical industry, nonferrous metallurgy, electroplating, wastewater treatment, brewing, and the electronics industry.

 

Form

The model designation FB4-72 fiberglass centrifugal fan (No.) indicates the outer diameter of the impeller. (For example, No. 5 means the impeller’s outer diameter D2 is 500 millimeters.) The product is available in right-hand and left-hand rotation types. When viewed from the motor end, if the impeller rotates clockwise, it is classified as right-hand rotation; otherwise, it is left-hand rotation. The eight different positions for the outlet nozzle angle are shown in the figure.

The FB4-72 glass centrifugal fan is available in A, C, and D types (Type A features direct coupling with the motor; Type C uses belt-driven transmission; and Type D employs coupling-driven transmission). It is equipped with domestically produced Y-series motors.

 

Structural features

Some units are directly coupled to the motor. In addition to the aforementioned structure, fans of models 6C~12C, D, and 16 and 20B also feature a transmission section.

1) The impeller consists of 10 backward-curved, airfoil-shaped blades, a circular front disc, and a partition disc—all made of fiberglass.

  • The air inlet is also integrally molded from fiberglass reinforced plastic, and its cross-section parallel to the axial direction has a curved shape, allowing the airflow to enter the impeller smoothly with minimal resistance loss.
  • 2.8~8A (C, D) fans—both the fan casing and the motor (or transmission unit)—are bolted to the frame, ensuring excellent overall structural integrity. For No.10~12C, D, and 16, 20B models, the transmission units are identical to those used in the metal 4-72 fans of the same model number.
