9-28 Type High-Pressure Centrifugal Fan


9-28 Type I fans are typically used in forging furnaces and for high-pressure forced ventilation, and are widely employed in material handling applications. They are suitable for conveying air as well as gases that are non-corrosive, non-flammable, and free of sticky substances. The temperature of the conveyed medium generally does not exceed 80℃, and the concentration of dust and hard fine particles in the medium should be no greater than 150 mg/m³. These fans can also be used as high-temperature fans in special applications such as the external decomposition process in cement kilns (for units with model numbers 16 and above) and steel smelting (in which case they are modified with heat-resistant, high-strength materials).

Usage

Scope

9-28 I The fan’s flow range is 2,200 m³/h to 300,000 m³/h (single-suction) and up to 600,000 m³/h (double-suction). The pressure range is 3,430 to 19,700 Pa.

 

Style

1. This fan is available in both single-inlet and double-inlet designs. The model numbers include NO4, 4.5, 5, 5.6, 6.3, 7.1, 8, 9, 10, 11.2, 12.5, 14, 16, 17, 18, 20, 21, 22, 23, and 24—altogether comprising 20 model numbers.

2. This fan can also be manufactured in two types: right-hand rotation or left-hand rotation. When viewed from the end of the motor, if the impeller rotates in the same direction as the hands of a clock, it is called a “clockwise” fan and denoted by “CW”; if it rotates in the opposite direction to the hands of a clock, it is called a “counterclockwise” fan and denoted by “CCW.”

3. The outlet position of the fan is indicated by the outlet angle of the fan casing; both “clockwise” and “counterclockwise” can be configured at angles of 0°, 45°, 90°, 135°, 180°, and 225°—a total of six angles.

4. The fan drive methods are Type A (for sizes 4–6.3), Type D (for sizes 7.1–16), and Type F.

 

Structural features

The NO4 to 6.3 fans mainly consist of an impeller, a casing, an air inlet, a support frame, and other components. The NO7.1 to 24 fans mainly consist of an impeller, a casing, an air inlet, a transmission assembly, and other components. The F-type transmission primarily comprises an impeller, a casing, an air inlet, an intake box, and a transmission assembly. Depending on the user’s requirements, these fans can also be equipped with adjustable dampers.

① The impeller of the Type 9-28 I fan has 16 long blades and 16 short blades. After the impeller is formed, it undergoes static and dynamic balancing corrections, ensuring smooth and reliable operation.

② Casing — The casing is welded from high-quality galvanized steel sheet into an integral spiral shape. For high-temperature fans, heat-resistant materials can be selected according to the temperature conditions; alternatively, the casing can also be made in a modular design.

③ Air inlet— Designed as an integrated, streamlined structure with a converging shape, secured to the front cover plate using bolts.

④ Transmission Assembly— Composed of a main shaft, bearing housing, coupling, and other components. Depending on the application, the main shaft can be made of high-quality steel or heat-resistant steel and is equipped with either rolling bearings or sliding bearings. Rolling bearings are lubricated with bearing grease, while sliding bearings are lubricated with thin oil.

 

Features

The performance of the 9-28 high-pressure centrifugal fan fully meets the aerodynamic requirements of both the specialized fan model FW-27 and the general-purpose fan model 9-26, and features high efficiency, low noise, a flat performance curve, a wide flow regulation range, and an extensive high-efficiency zone. The fan’s overall performance is currently leading among similar products both domestically and internationally.

 

Ordering Instructions

1. Scope of complete supply for standalone products: one fan, one matching motor, one set of anchor bolts (4 sets for NO4-6.3, 8 sets for NO7.1-16), and one coupling (for NO7.1-16).

2. When placing an order, please specify the fan model number, speed, airflow rate, pressure, outlet angle, rotation direction, and motor model specifications.

3. When the fan is used under high-temperature conditions, the impeller, shaft, bearings, and other components must have their operating temperature, material selection, bearing type, and related technical matters jointly agreed upon by our factory, and a formal agreement must be signed accordingly.

4. As needed, this fan can be equipped with an adjustable damper; please specify this requirement when placing your order.

5. For fans with model numbers greater than No. 16, the installation dimensions for this sample have not been provided; please supply them promptly when placing your order.
